Q How long does it take to produce a Kontrolit site?
A Depending on amount of initial data we estimate site build to be around 4-6 weeks.

Q I am already using a content management solution, is it possible to import the data?
A Most of the time yes.  Providing your existing content management solution uses one of the main types of databases available then it should be possible to import the information from one database to another. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Q Do I need a content management system?
A Most sites need content management to keep them fresh economically.  A content management system means you can update the site whenever you want for free.  A fresh site generates more repeat traffic and also indirectly helps new traffic.

Q I don't want to use one of the features can I turn it off?  Will it save me money?
A Yes, you only need to use features or options that are going to be relevant.  There is nothing worse than a section of your site with text such as 'under development', 'being updated' or 'coming soon'.  It is unlikely to save you money as extra features in reality do not mean much extra time here for the development team.

Q I see there is a new version of the CMS can I upgrade?
A Yes it is possible to upgrade to the next version, please contact your account manager for more information.

Q Can options/features that were not initially included be turned on at a later date?
A Yes, there maybe a small fee as we may need to make alterations to your site templates to incorporate the new site sections.

Q I have my own server, can I host Kontrolit myself?
A Kontrolit in its standard configuration uses more than 1 server and a large variety of server side components.  This means it is highly unlikely that you would have the correct specification of software and hardware to run the website.  In addition much of the source code in the administration panel reamins copyrighted to SSIWEB.
