Remove All Switch Logos

Implementation date: 1 July 2007                  Impacted: All merchants

You will need to arrange for the replacement of any Switch logo with the Maestro logo by 1 July 2007 (this include websites).  Failure to do so could result in a loss of business as customers refer to the logos to see which cards are accepted.

MasterCard Secure Code

Implementation date: 1 July 2007                  Impacted: E-commerce Merchants

From this date, if you wish to continue being able to accept Maestro transactions online, you must be SecureCode enabled.  If you are not able to accept this extra authentication you will be unable to process Maestro cards.

Whilst VISA has not yet put a mandate in place, we would recommend you consider implementing the VISA equivalent system, Verified by Visa.

Both SecureCode and Verified by Visa are aimed at preventing on-line fraud and implementation should result in your chargebacks and fraud reduced.
