How much do you charge for your website design services?
It depends on what you want! Brochure websites which may consist of just a few static pages start around £299.  Content management websites (Kontrolit) start around £1499 and Ecommerce sites start around £1798.  Visit our website design section for more information.

Are there any hidden charges for your website design or optimisation services?
No! All sites are built with basic optimisation in place.  For some small sites we may even decide that further work is not necessary.  If your site has content management capabilities then you will already have all the tools at your disposal to carry out you're your own internet marketing campaigns.  However for some clients it may still be necessary to get the "experts" in to help.  This work is normally quote for after the website has been built.

Can I make changes to the website design or text content once it has been started?
Yes! If you have a content management site then you can make changes when ever you want.

Is a content managed website better?
Normally yes. Although nearly every business now has a website, many of them do not perform. There are a number of reasons for this, ranging from poor or nonexistent website promotion to simply having out of date content. Website promotion is a complicated area and best handled by experts but website management is now very simple, if implemented correctly.

Content management systems (CMS) allow website content to be managed anywhere in the world using a web browser. This means that website content can be kept up to date and of benefit to the people visiting your website. How long will the design of my website take?
It depends. Brochure websites can be around 1-2 weeks, Content Management/Ecommerce Sites are around 4-6 weeks depending on size.

What screen resolution will you design my website for?
Unless the website has special functionality most sites should be functional in the 800x600 screen resolution.

If I already have a site can you help me improve it?
Yes. We can redesign or add content to an existing site, and in most cases this costs less money than building one from scratch.

Can you use my company's existing logo, brochure design, and other materials for my website?
Yes, we can certainly use your existing company literature such as logos, brochure, etc. for creating your new web site.

What are the things that you expect from my company to complete the web site design?
Brochures, logos, photographs, product descriptions, business cards etc. are all recommended resources to use. For new businesses we will help you get started from scratch. A dedicated person will answer any questions during your website project.

How frequently do I need to update my website?
It depends on what type of website you have and its aspirations. Content is critical for optimisation and "fresh" or new content is an important factor for search engine ranking. If you have a small brochure website you might probably want to update twice a year some pages on your website, you might also have a page to display the latest news on your website and you can add a couple of notes once a month or every two months if you want.  For e-commerce or database websites you might update or add content more frequently, maybe even every day.  In any case if you're looking for results from search engines, you might want to talk with our internet marketing people about the importance of getting new information on your website and what will be the best way to do it without having problems with the code and content to optimise your website.
